Silence the mind
With the strength of patience.
Revere the truth
And strictly adhere
To its ways -
Do not feel
That you are punished
When hardships come
Your way
In fact wake up
And face them...
Stare at them I say
Right into the eye
And capture
The weakness
Of wishing pain
To go easily...
You must be ferocious enough
To frighten the devils
Of spiritual laziness -
Protect the virtues
That lie within
The core of your heart -
Just like a tigress that protects her cubs
From strangers...
Roar aloud
Before the enemies
That lurk in the fearful mind
Awaken and come
To tie you
And imprison you
For now and lifetimes to come.

At the end of his life
A soul reached the feet of God
And asked,
"Dear Master,
Will I from birth
Find a place
In Your feet forever?"
The Lord replied,
"Dearest child,
Did you at every moment
Remember that
I alone love you?"
The devotee sobbed as he spoke,
"Dear Master,
I did at first
When I was young
And had no burdens
Upon my shoulders -
But as life
Brought to me
Its many responsibilities
I remembered You
Sometimes...
Then at other times
I felt I was alone...
And did not have the strength
To remember You then."
The Lord wiped the tears
Of His child and spoke,
"Dear one
You have believed
Once again
In your effort
And have forgotten
That the effort
Was nothing
But My Grace...
You have believed
More in the love
Of your kith and kin
And suffered
The miseries
Of their limitations...
You forgot to
Sustain them
In My unconditional love...
You believed
In your worldly riches
That gave you
Momentary security...
You forgot, My child
That these riches
Were merely a test...
If you had refused them
Even for a moment
The riches from My kingdom
Would have poured
Upon you...
You believed
That you were the one
In control of your life
You forgot
My eternal promise
That "I am the slave
Of the one
That makes Me
His beloved -
And to that one
I shall never forsake -
That one that
Remembers My name
And loses the consciousness
Of all else
That one's life
I Myself shall honor
And I shall place
Upon My lap -
His difficulties, his miseries...
His pain... his responsibilities
I alone shall bear...
O devoted soul
You shall return
Back to the world
That you have loved
And I shall wait for you
Until you believe
And remember
That you are My beloved
And I am yours...
Until then, My promise remains
All you have to do
Is to remember it
And keep that promise of Mine
As your breath..."

What is right?

To respond -
To turn things around -

And called My name
In complete reverence and love.

If you have awakened
With the compassion
To see their tears
As yours...

Is the strength I give you...
Whatever you provide for them
Is the resource I give to you...
Always be grateful
To serve those who are in need
For I chose you
To serve them
In order to uplift you
From your own miseries -
In fact I alone
Come in the disguise
Of the weak and the needy
To see
If you can see
My form in them
And treat them
As if you had worshipped them
As you worship My feet.

The moment you are worried
That I may not provide
I stand before you
With My hands full -
To see My bounteous grace
You must turn
Immediately
With My name
Upon your lips
And your head
Upon My feet and say,
"O Lord
I have thought

The thought to You... but
I too am strong
And I shall not
Leave Thy feet
Until my thought
Leaves me and becomes
Your burden...
I know You stand
Beside me right now
With Your hands full...
And I, O Lord
Shall receive from You
That which is needed -
And if You place
The weapon to fight
My desire
I shall do so without fear -
And if it is a gift divine
I shall immediately
Turn toward those
That need it
More than me
And share it with them...
I now feel I am ready
To fight my next thought
And win Your eternal grace."

Don't worry
If the mind begins to sway again
It is its nature...
Say not to Me,
"How many times
O Lord do I have
To fight?"
With the end of every fight
Will begin the next -
You will simply have
To give up
The unrealistic goal
That the mind
Is in your complete control...
Until the very end
Your devotion to Me
Will have to fight
Your attraction to the outside -
As your devotion for Me
Will increase
Your faith in your Self
Will rise and with that
The fight between the mind
And the conscience
Will continue
But you will be drowning
In My love for you
And yours for Me...
The fight then
Will not be stressful anymore
It will become your nature
And you shall know not
The effort needed
To keep the external enemies away!

I am the Ultimate teacher
I alone know
The lesson you must learn
For the present moment -
I will not leave you alone
Until you become
A perfect student of Mine -
I am not affected
By whatever emotions
You face and
Whatever ignorant judgments

When you show to Me
Your limitations...
Limitations?!!
"What are those?" I ask
When you have resolved
To study under My care -
I humiliate you
When you show to Me
Limited efforts.
And I encourage you
By holding your hand
The moment you forgo
Your weaknesses
And lean upon My strength -
I am the teacher of teachers
My word of truth is in stone
It shall never change
And you one day
Shall receive it
Until that day
I stand beside you
As your soul witness
And your true strength!

Do not look for guidance
From outside sources
For you will be confused
Heartbroken and weak-minded.
Within the core
Of your own heart
Is always the answer
To your next step ahead -
Do not doubt that...
It shall always lead you
To truth -

That is good for all -
It shall always draw you out
From selfish desires -
It shall make you do good... be good... see good -
It shall give you the gift
Of self-respect and self-confidence -
And while you do
What you must...
It will draw you
Into divine moments of complete bliss.

Do not think
That by admitting your faults
That your faults have vanished-
Learn to admit your faults
But without sincere repentance
And complete correction
With humility and patience
The admittance of the faults
Hold no meaning -
Repentance is that act
In which the ego burns
And in its burning
One sees the light of the Divine -
And the one
That is able to see this Holy Light
Immediately becomes humble
And works patiently
Knowing that all is My work
And the result of My every work
Is always dedicated
To the good of all!

But when the task is complete

You shall never know...
When it began...
When it ends...
Where it is...
How it is to be done...
Why it must be done...
For who is that task for...
Who receives its gift...
The only thing
You need to know is
That you have come to Me
And I have accepted
To hold your hand
While doing My work!

Of what you ask from Me
You are afraid
If I am able to
Fulfill your expectations -
You are afraid
Of being tired of waiting
For your desire to fulfill -
You are afraid
If the desire that is fulfilled
Shall remain permanently
Or not...
You are afraid
That I may not be
Loyal to you...
How terrible is this disease
Of loneliness
How terrible are its symptoms
Of fear...
Are you not ready
To have a true friend...
I alone am that friend -
Are you not ready
For the dose of your medicine -
I alone am the truth
That shall cure your every fear -
Are you not ready to see
That nothing remains forever?
I alone am eternal -
Are you not ready to know your Self?
I alone am that Self...
